The people behind Travel Activated.
We have spent our careers inside participation sport. Travel Activated exists because we kept seeing the same problem and finally decided to solve it.
Why we built this.
We have been on both sides of sport travel for a long time.
Marcel ran travel operations for the UCI across 170 national federations. He built Mummu Cycling into an official tour operator for the Tour de France and Giro d'Italia. He watched participants book hotels through Expedia while contracted room blocks sat half-empty. He saw federations work hard to create events, then watch all the travel value leave through someone else's checkout.
Rudi spent more than a decade leading digital platforms at Fisher and Paykel — building systems that had to work at scale, across markets, for organisations without huge technical teams. He understood what it takes to make complex things simple.
"We kept solving the same problem manually, year after year. Travel Activated is the system we wished we had."
— Marcel Berger
We started Travel Activated because we knew the problem from the inside. And we knew it was solvable.
The goal is straightforward: let the sport benefit from travel that is already happening, without adding work or risk.
What we have done.
Before Travel Activated, we spent years inside the industries it connects.

Who we are.

We are not trying to sell more travel. We are trying to make sure the travel that already happens benefits the sport that created it.
— Marcel Berger
The best platforms are the ones you barely notice. They just work, and they work for everyone.
— Rudi Khoury
We believe participation sport deserves better infrastructure — not more things to buy, but better ways to keep value in the communities that create it.
